TRIUMPHANT RETURN!!
Interrobang Studios rides again.

We're back in the saddle, boys an' girls! Our flughafen, Blake, had a second baby. I graduated. We all moved. Kevin got mentored by JIM FREAKIN' LEE. Sally jumped into our studio work with two feet. Roxy's testing for her massage therapy license this week. (We all wish her luck!)

Even cooler than all that 'real life' stuff?

We've got strips again. And we've got a newly re-vamped Interrobang Studios website. And we've got a sister-site KevinBolk.com. And we had our first studio-booth at a convention. And there's all kinds of crazy updates to the way we're handling the comics!

Comics are going to update at a slightly saner pace: 3 times a week. Dark Intruder runs on Monday, joined by Bear Boy and Space Lad as supporting cast. Punker Darren and Girl Named Bob will dominate the Pot Luck Comics on Wednesday, allowing for Spinks, blind cats, and naked/dead mini-Kevins from time to time. Trigger Star rules Friday and carries hilarity into the weekends.

Check out this picture of the INTERRO-BOOTH at the Baltimore Comic Con this past weekend.

Kevin got an excellent picture of me selling our merchandise. We had prints, comics, and postcards for sale. All of those will be for available through the Interrobang Studios site in the near future.

We met a ton of super-nice people. There were folks who'd actually heard of our comics, friends from Kevin's deviant art page, talented authors, excellent artists, and that retailer who cheerfully tells me every year that he won't mark down his TMNT adventures books because he knows people who will buy them at $6 a book. (He's such a tease. He's had the same ones for the past 4 years. If people buy them, where's he getting them year after year? Riddle me that one, Batman.)

We had a great time both days, and now that we know (kinda) what we're doing at conventions, we will be making announcements about our future convention appearances here and on the website.

It's great to be back. It's awesome to have a plan. Feel free to comment either here or on the site with our new 'quick register & comment' feature. We'd love to talk to you! See you Wednesday.

Hurray! I'll have to give the site a plug whenever I get around to updating SC. And I'm glad to hear that the BCC went well! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you guys, but there's always next year.

Best wishes and success for Interrobang 2.0! :D

Wes! We live in your state. NEAR your home address (presumably, if you were willing to meet up for the Baltimore Comic Con). Kevin and I were running around in classic headless-chicken fashion right before the con... I got in a car wreck too, that didn't help... but YES. I don't want to wait til 'next year'. I'm gonna look at my calendar, talk to kevin about his, and we should just MEET.

OH! do you have a banner you wanna throw up at ?!... we're offering free ad space just to start getting our site re-connected with the peoples. You've done so much for us--that guest strip, your half of the link exchange, a mention on your page...

We wanna pay back! We wanna get Scary-Crayon into our permanent links section and we wanna get you a rotating banner on the site.

I'll email you with open weekends for potential meetings. Send me a graphic!

Wow!
Congratulations you guys! This is awesome-- the booth looks terrific.
How exciting-- okay, I'm gonna run over to the Interrobang site and register and be part of that --you know--*scene*, baby!

=oD

WOOO! We're so excited. We consistently drew a crowd to the booth. We earned enough $$ in commissions and sales to pay for the con registration, and staff (discount) tickets. We've started to chip away at the cost of the inventory. There's still the cost of the fixtures/signage, but I'd bet there's precious few artist alley booths who could boast the kind of revenue we pulled in that weekend.

So we're not as far in the hole as we could have been. That's AMAZING.

MEKO.

Every time I see a post from you... I'm THRILLED to see you're still out there, and so damn scared for you! If there's anything you could use... care package of food/clothes? Send me a pm. Give me an address you'll be able to receive stuff at. Maybe the library? You seem to be there more than anywhere. I'm concerned with winter coming on, you're gonna need blankets/sweaters/FOOD.

Talk to the library? See if you can receive a care package there? Do you have any food allergies? Do you have a hot-pot? Should I keep it cold-foods like peanut butter or can you heat water for ramen?

*HUGS* I'm so worried about you, and I should have said so sooner--offered to help sooner. Tell me how. Please.

Great booth, and you're looking fantastic! :)

dude. Your art endeavors have been looking pretty damn awesome too! You are a busy, busy woman. I must admit, I'm living vicariously through you and Kevin. There WILL come a day when I can walk away from the 'real job' and roll around in art full-time.

I've got a few ideas for kids' books that have been kicking around in my brain. This convention proved that Kevin's style draws children, big-time.

Knowing your opinions on children, I'm sure that the above statement made you shudder. But you play to your strengths, right?

Damn straight you play to your strengths! That's why I go hang out with all the occultists every year at the film festival. :)

But if it is any consolation, I'm looking at finding a "real job" too. Something for a bit of steady income while I'm developing my work.

I tried registering on the ?! site last week, but I haven't yet received an email with which to activate my account there. I've just tried logging in, but it won't let me without the confirmation code. And I can't re-register since it tells me my email address is already on record. Bugger! Any chance you could re-send my confirmation email, or wipe out my old account so I can re-register? My hotmail was acting very screwy the day I first registered, so that may have contributed to the email going walk-about on me.

Thank you!

We stood out from the other folks on artist alley, that's for sure. Kevin's work was up and displayed neatly. The black structures not only stood up high, but they drew the eye when you're scanning the length of the artists' tables. AND our sign was forward, instead of tacked to the wall behind us.

And it all folds flat for easy storage under the stairs. ;)

YOU LIVE.

Thank you, it's wonderful to hear your praise and well-wishes. but... i think the most incredible thing about this comment--I HAVE PROOF YOU LIVE!! I live in a world with VCHAN in it again! :D

Thank you, really, for the encouragement.

Hope things are going well in the great white north. Depending on how our elections go down here in the great green south, does your offer to adopt me into your family still stand? I'd gladly cover expenses.

heh, yes I live, breathe and all the fun stuff.

Sorry I dropped off the surface of the earth for so long, between work and life and all the rest of it I just ended up... disconnected. Nothing dire, just that half step left of the rest of the world.

Decided that that was enough of that, and am working on getting back in the swing of things.

As for the adoption, of course! Been keeping half an eye on the elections down there (we've got one of our own coming up in the next couple weeks) and scratching my head between bouts of lots of 'huh?'

I promise, I'll do better about keeping in touch :)
