Kevin and I are guests at T-MODE in Rockville, MD for the weekend of April 15-17. IT IS A CHARITY SHOW. Every badge purchased is an American Red Cross Donation to the relief efforts in Japan.

Kevin and I are so proud and excited to participate in TMODE this year. We'll be running 6 workshops, so if you ever wanted to hear us talk AND support an important cause, this is the show to visit. The hotel is right off the Washington Metro TwinBrook station!

Also the studio will be Sneak-premiering our new book Daddy Daugther Ninja Day: My First Ninja Training Manual before its launch at AnimeBoston this year.

Kevin did just get back from Tekkoshocon in Pittsburgh. We're working like crazy people trying to build up the webcomics buffer so we can go to T-MODE, then almost immediately after that to AnimeBoston. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I skipped the photos! Take a peek at some of the fun folks Kevin met in Pittsburgh!

Gabby was Kevin's artist alley neighbor! She's got an awesome comic: Demon Mirror. You can read it here

Kevin was in Pittsburgh for this convention all by himself, while I stayed behind to finish out my work week. He spent pretty much all of Tekko behind his table, but many cool people came to visit him. He snapped loads of photos of awesome cosplayers. This one in particular was excellent. I'm a Totoro NUT, and this little soot sprite costume was the BEST.

(Yes, we have parental permission to post this photo.)

Kevin's friend from way back, Adam, is on of the most cunning costumers we know. Check this stuff out. It's cardboard.

Ari & Aaron were there, running their own table where they sell Octo-Bloops. They were also Kevin's convention buddies who helped him get all our stuff to the table, covered things during Kevin's panel, and made sure Kevin got food at regular intervals. I'm so jealous of that plushie octopus. ~* THANK YOU ARI & AARON, NIKKI & FRANK! <3 *~

LULZ. ...ROBOT ROLE CALL!...

Awesome cosplay of 2D, the lead animated singer from the Gorillaz. She commissioned the exact same character as one of Kevin's little custom art cards. LOVE HER TEETHS!

We have this TMNT bedsheet we use for the table cloth and Kevin's got an adorable set of TMNT art cards, and it sparked a lively TURTLE-LOVE conversation with a lady with these most sensational nails!

Son & his friend B found us at Zenkaikon! They were both super-sweet. Son is an up-and-coming voice actor, and he was kind enough to film the creepy Weegees that were lurking around our booth. They scared the crap out of people. ;P Check out his video here! (Thanks, Son!)

WOOOoooo... All that and we're gearing up for

at the exact same time!

And when I say we're "GEARING UP," I mean it. AB will be the first show where we have a DEALER'S ROOM space. We're going back to press on older books. We're restocking the Weegie shirts. We're debuting the Spinks With Hats. We're officially launching the Ninja Book. We've got brand new display furniture and we'll have our INTERRO-GIRL booth-cutie as both the red bell-hop Interr0-girl and as the live-action ENSIGN SUE!

P.S. I went after a promotion recently, and while I did not get the department management position, I was chosen for Assistant Manager! Things are looking up.
The Colony Magistrate Says : night sounds, first window-open night of the year!
